On the minus side is the stalling out on novel writing. I think the real reason for the stall is that while I have more stories to tell, I don't feel like I have really completed telling some of the ones that are already done, evidenced by the fact that I haven't revised or finished them to the point of getting it out there.
So what is next? Well, I am traveling a little next week, which means there is some writing probably going to get crammed in on the plane or in the hotel when I'm bored, but as I have discussed before, it's not going to be nearly as much as I would hope for it to be. Still, I might be able to put the finish on the first draft of White Rock and get moving on something else. Or, better than all that, perhaps I can start editing White Rock and get moving on that. We will see.
What I would love to do is to take either White Rock or The Annotated Bartender's Guide to Murder Investigation through a serious revision course like Holly Lisle's How to Revise Your Novel course, but at the price, it's a bit steep for what I can commit at the moment. So maybe it's worth my taking a first stab at a revision one way or another, and seeing where we are at that point.
I'm standing at a crossroads with no roadsigns and twelve ways to go. It could be interesting, and it could be disastrous. At least I've got some poems coming.
Thoughts?
