Hiatus

It's been difficult to write given my "new schedule," but I plan to figure something out by NaNoWriMo, perhaps ,even if it is crazy binge-writing sessions on Sundays or something along those lines.

In my writerly pursuits, I haven't particularly done too much lately, though there are a few poems that were sent out for submission, and a nice letter back from one publication requesting some additional work to be submitted to them.  Honestly, so far as the poetry writing is concerned, I am submitting faster than I am creating, which then lends itself towards running out of material.  It is similar to the problem I have making beer sometimes in that I don't produce as fast as I consume.  With poems, it might be worse, though, in that many poems (38 right now) are just sitting in some editor's inbox being reviewed, so they are off limits for publication, but they are still not doing anything.  I guess I just need to write more.

As for the novel, I had some trouble with my favorite writing program (WriteMonkey) and Windows 7, so I ended up losing the same scene twice and got frustrated.  Time to plug back in to the XP machine and write it a third time.  It's just difficult to get motivated to do that (or find time, currently).  We shall see.
