Editing plan

So, in order to prevent myself from being burned out on writing by November 1, I decided to short circuit "current unnamed project" for right now, and get back to editing on a prior novel. Not only will this keep writing chops fresh for NaNo, but it also allows me to go and pick up some editing on the piles of first drafts that I have sitting out there. Ultimately, I'll need to do more editing than writing, so best to get in the habit.

First step last night was to create an editing plan, which I am using my spreadsheet to try to test out as I walk through. I'm jumping straight into the high level info (because my draft is written and my manuscript has already sat around for longer than 30 days). Trying to take a deadline-based and planned approach to the editing though, so if you've been reading this and trying to keep up with writing, I'm switching gears to editing, and you can try to keep up when I get back to writing in November.
