One of my first forays into technical writing, the article
Cookies and Cold Fusion was published July 12, 2000 on WebMonkey. It walked the reader through how to track a user's progress with cookies and leave a "bread crumb trail" of links at the top of the page. A much more advanced methodology of this would be created using session variables, etc., but the gist of this tutorial was to primarily explain the use of cookies and how the browser would interpret them, combined with how to store them using Cold Fusion code.
